The Road is Calling

The road race season in Michigan kicked off in April with Spring Training Series Races in Ann Arbor and Waterford and the Ciociaro Can Am Challenge Series in Windsor. Now that roadies are all warmed up, it's time to stretch their legs in some good old-fashioned road and criterium racing. In the coming weeks road cyclists can look forward to the Grattan Race Series kick-off, the Cone Azalia Classic road race, the Tour of Kensington Valley, the Priority Health Tour De Leelanau, the Tour De Gaslight Criterium and in June, a race that is quickly becoming a favorite among all racers, citizen and professional alike - The Superior Bike Fest in Marquette.

Going Clubbing

I don't remember exactly when I joined my first running club, but I have vivid memories of the club itself. It was the Ann Arbor (Michigan) Track Club, and someone I'd met at a race must have persuaded me to attend a track workout.

It’s another quiet Sunday morning. You roll our of bed, lace up your running shoes, grab your Nano, and head out into the brisk winter air. There are few things in life that can compete with the overwhelming sensations experienced during a great run. These exhilarating moments are almost, perfect. Until your blissful trance comes to a crashing halt along with your iPod. Ouch! Another one bites the dust.

How many have ever experienced this frustrating scenario? Wouldn’t it be great if your iPod could be fastened securely in place, but still be accessible to change your music? Brace yourselves. That dream is now a reality.

Fitness enthusiasts everywhere, meet your iPod Nano’s new best friend, the iStik. This extremely strong magnetic case sticks to your clothing much like a magnetic name-tag. You can wear it virtually wherever you want and remove it to change your music whenever you want. Say goodbye to dropped Nanos and interrupted workouts with the new, revolutionary iStik case.

This innovative concept was created by young, husband and wife duo, Jeremy and Alissa Huber who reside in Southern California. When asked how he came up with such an ingenious idea Jeremy said, “I just wanted something that was secure for working out, but not so restrictive that I couldn’t change songs. I took the concept of a magnetic ID badge and incorporated it into a plastic case and that is how the original prototype was born.”

The iStik magnetic case is currently available for the 2nd generation iPod Nano. Cases for the 3rd generation Nano and iPhone are currently being designed and will be available soon.

Visit www.goistik.com to get your iStick and for more information!
