There is a reason outdoor athletes participate in their chosen sports.  To be out in nature, to interact with our natural environment, to move and play and run and paddle and feel the wind on our faces as we cycle down a country road is as much a "moving meditation" as it is a physical fitness activity.  There is also a reason why many athletes turn to yoga mats on a regular basis, and I would argue the reasons are similar...
