DWRA, founded as The Detroit Women’s Rowing Association aims to teach women and girls the fundamentals of rowing and develop athletic skills while reinforcing the value of teamwork, leadership and discipline through healthy competition.

DWRA is a non-profit rowing organization dedicated to promoting the sport of rowing in a personal and intimate environment.
Committed to youth, the community, and the pursuit of excellence in rowing, the DWRA offers programs for individuals age 12 to adult, with any level of experience. Our programs are designed and coached to optimise the strength and technical ability of each rower. Whether ultimately focused on achieving competitive women’s rowing status or simply rowing for pleasure and fitness, DWRA has a program for you.
